You can create events and ticket passes through the Admittee dashboard. This guide walks you through the process.
Creating an Event
When you set up a new event, you'll configure basic details like the event name, category, date, and location.
Event Details
Provide the following information:
- Event Title — Use clear, descriptive names (e.g., "Football Game: Home vs. Away")
- Category — Choose from standard categories like Football, Basketball, School Dance, Performing Arts, Camps & Workshops, Special Event, or Other
- Date and Time — Set the event start date and time
- Location — Include venue details; the system uses latitude and longitude for location data
- Banner Image — Upload a custom banner image if desired; the system supports image processing and storage
- Custom Color — Optionally set a custom color to personalize the event's appearance
Event Information
The system stores comprehensive event data including:
- Event title and category
- Date and time details
- Location coordinates (latitude/longitude)
- Banner image URL
- Custom color settings
- Opponent information (for sports events)
Creating Ticket Passes
Ticket passes are digital wallet passes (Apple Wallet compatible) that admit attendees to your events.
Pass Types
You can create different kinds of passes:
- Event Tickets — Single-use tickets for specific events
- Group Tickets — Admit multiple attendees with one pass
- Membership Passes — Recurring access passes (membership or flex-credit types)
- Flex Passes — Credit-based passes where attendees use credits per visit
Generating Passes
Once you create a pass, the system automatically:
- Generates a digital wallet pass compatible with Apple Wallet
- Encodes ticket information (QR code, seat details if applicable)
- Applies your institution's branding and colors
- Creates a unique serial number for tracking
Pass Customization
Customize your passes with:
- Your Institution Logo — Automatically included on the pass
- Event Banner — Custom banner image from the event
- Seat Information — For ticketed events, display section, row, and seat number (if applicable)
- Ticket Count Display — Shows "Ticket 1 of 3" or similar for multi-ticket purchases
- Remaining Credits — For flex passes, displays available credits
- Member Designation — For membership passes, shows membership status
Wallet Pass Details
When you create a digital pass, it includes:
- QR Code — Encodes the ticket or pass ID for scanning at entry
- Authentication — Secure token for pass updates and verification
- Event Information — Date, time, location, and category details
- Branding — Your institution's logo and theme colors
- Serial Number — Unique identifier for each pass
Next Steps
After creating your event and passes:
- Share the pass link with attendees
- Attendees add the pass to their Apple Wallet
- Scan QR codes at the event to verify entry
