Tips for Using Data Insights
Use your dashboard's automatic data loading, time windows, and role-based sections to efficiently manage your institution's events, registrations, and operations.
Tips for Using Data Insights
Your institution's dashboard gives you quick access to key operational data. Here's how to get the most from it.
View Your Data
When you log in, your dashboard automatically loads data relevant to your role—events, registrations, passes, facilities, and more. The system fetches only what you need, so pages load faster.
Work with Time Windows
For busy institutions, the dashboard focuses on recent activity by default:
- Event data shows events from the previous month through the next month
- You can adjust these ranges manually when viewing specific pages
- This keeps your dashboard responsive without limiting your ability to plan ahead
Navigate by Section
Different dashboard sections load different data sets:
- Settings: Load your institution profile, opponents, customers, and facilities
- Passes: View your pass types and upcoming events
- Reports: Access event summaries, pass data, and daily activity trends
- Event pages: See full event details, registrations, and scheduling information
- Contracts: View and edit agreements with opponent schools
Understand What You're Seeing
Your dashboard displays:
- Event summaries with key fields (title, start date, type, venue)
- Registrations only for sessions that haven't ended yet
- Fundraisers linked to your events
- User roles and permissions for your team members
If you need historical data outside the default time window, you can request it explicitly from specific pages.
Work Efficiently
- Stay in context: When you click into an event, contract, or rental, the system loads all related data automatically
- Use search and filters: Narrow results by date, facility, opponent, or status
- Check your permissions: Some features (like publishing events or editing settings) are role-based—your dashboard shows only what you can access
If a page feels slow, you may be viewing a very large date range. Try narrowing your time window or filtering by facility or event type.
